Born and raised by the sea in Brighton, England, James’s love of travel took him first to Australia and New Zealand, then around the world.
He chose Banff after discovering its famous golf course via a PlayStation game he played with his grandad.
The real place sparked a love of the Rockies that has kept him in Canada, where he has also lived briefly in Ottawa and Montreal.
As a concierge at Fairmont Banff Springs, James loved meeting people and sharing his passion for the mountains.
He has hiked and climbed many of the peaks around Banff and enjoys camping and exploring the backcountry.
Now based in Vancouver, he’s discovering more of BC’s coast and planning his next road trip.
A keen sports fan, he also travels back to England to support the national football team.
