Day 1 McCarthy to Ultima Thule | Flight Depart McCarthy mid afternoon for a scenic flight to the Ultima Thule Lodge arriving late afternoon. This luxurious, family-run lodge which benefits from an enviable location in Alaska's Wrangell St. Elias National Park with jaw-dropping mountains and crystalline glaciers surround this remote haven, where adventures are plentiful and every day is completely unique.

Day 2 – 4 Ultima Thule Lodge | Exploring Alaska's Wrangell St. Elias National Park Ultima Thule's daily adventure tours have no itinerary. When you wake and make your way to the main lodge, the Claus family and pilots are already studying the skies. The family and their experienced wilderness guides will help you create the perfect day.

The experienced and knowledgeable Alaskan wilderness guides help you discover the perfect activity each day to match your mood, experience level and your interests, from a full day flight safari, to rafting on the Chitina River, hiking or fishing. Guides here let nature lead us, not the other way around, so every day at Ultima Thule is different.

The long, brilliant days of an Alaskan summer are bursting with life. Here in the heart of the wilderness, one hundred miles from the end of the road, bears roam, moose feast on wild vegetation, Dall sheep tread their ancient mountain paths and eagles soar from cliff to spruce. Spend a day exploring this remote and impressive area of natural beauty and walk along paths where no other has even stepped before. Every customised adventure-filled experience is included in your stay, and guests return to the beautiful lodge at the end of each day to unwind in the wood-burning cedar hot tub, before enjoying a home-cooked, fresh and delicious evening meal.

Day 5 Ultima Thule to McCarthy | Activities + Flight Spend most of the day on a final adventure before your midafternoon flight back to McCarthy where your ultimate wilderness adventures come to an end.
